With an avalanche of COVID-19 information coming daily we want to provide updates specifically for carriers, in hopes of distilling the information in a clearer way.
Recently Florida Governor Ron DeSantis enacted Executive Order 20-86 requiring visitors from from Connecticut, Louisiana, New York, and New Jersey to self-quarantine for 14 days or for the duration of their stay, whichever is shorter.
Since then, The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) says incoming travelers will now be required to complete a traveler form when crossing the state line. This will not apply to military, emergency, health or infrastructure response, or people traveling for commercial activity. Also exempt are those that live in Alabama or Georgia and commute to work in Florida.
"No checkpoints within the state impede commerce or the timely delivery of products across Florida." FDOT
