Atlantic takes top honors

The Jacksonville Business Journal recently named its fifty fastest growing local companies and Atlantic Logistics made the list. Coming in at #25 with 46.6% growth CEO Rob Hooper sat down with the publication to discuss the successes of the company.

What has been the biggest challenge you've overcome as you've grown?

We have needed to continue to adapt at each stage. We were once eight people, and then 20, and now 50+. Each phase, has had its own challenges and struggles, and we have had to continue to be flexible and agile to adapt to the changing work environment as we grow.

What's been the 'secret sauce' that has helped propel your growth?

Our 'secret sauce' has always been to provide Exceptional Service. Our people, processes and technology have always been focused on making working with Atlantic to be an enjoyable, painless experience. Logistics is difficult, there are constant challenges, and it is our focus on service that has set us apart from the competition.

What have you done to keep your company culture strong as you grow?

This has been challenging. The dynamics have changed greatly as we have grown. While we still have very low turnover, that turnover has increased as we have expanded. We strive to keep the small company feel by being connected with the employees, customers, and our carriers. It requires constant vigilance to make sure that we don't lose our way and provide a place where team members care for one another and seek each other's success.
